Rick Greupink (photo up) and Frans Russel, Dept. of Pharmacology and Toxicology, theme  Renal disorders are the successful applicants of £100,000 research funding in the Certara Grant and Partnership Scheme 2015-16.

In close collaboration with our departments of Pharmacy and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Certara, a leading biosimulation company, the project entitled ‘Towards a mechanistic understanding of the pharmacokinetics of antiretroviral agents in pregnancy’ will integrate in vitro data on molecular pharmacokinetic mechanisms and in silico physiology-based pharmacokinetic modelling to predict maternal and fetal exposure to anti-HIV drugs.
